Es geht die Nachricht um, die EU-Kommission habe für Verstöße gegen Kartellrecht niedrigere Geldbußen angekündigt. Da sollte man sich für das Gros der Fälle keine allzu großen Hoffnungen machen (bzw. keine Erosion des Wettbewerbsschutzes befürchten, je nach Standpunkt). Ausnahmefälle wird es bestimmt geben, bereits wegen der guten PR für die Europäische Kommission, vor allem aber wegen der unabweisbaren Folgen der Wirtschaftskrise für vormals grundsolide Unternehmen.
